TM44 air‑conditioning inspections play a crucial role in ensuring that systems over 12kW are operating efficiently, safely, and in line with UK energy‑performance regulations. One of the key recommendations that often emerges from these reports is the use of a centralised controller, as it allows all units to be monitored and managed from a single point. This improves energy efficiency by preventing unnecessary run times, optimising setpoints, and ensuring the system operates only when required. In turn, businesses benefit from reduced energy consumption, lower operating costs, and improved overall system performance.

We are beyond proud to share that my best friend, Andrew Richardson, has just completed a monumental challenge for a cause very close to our hearts.

Starting on Saturday morning, Andrew ran 108 miles non-stop from Horsforth to the Yorkshire Three Peaks and back again. It was a 30-hour test of pure grit and resilience, all to raise vital funds for the MND Association.

At SWS, we were honoured to sponsor Andrew’s shirt and support him on this journey. Seeing our logo as he tackled this challenge was a proud moment for the our team, and seeing the determination of a lifelong friend to make a difference in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease was even more inspiring

A challenging installation successfully delivered within a live, fully operational building. Our SWS team completed the upgrade of 8 DX coils on an existing gas‑fed and chilled‑water AHU, ensuring minimal disruption throughout the process.

With over 80 metres of pipework per circuit, the project demanded meticulous planning, precise execution, and close coordination across all disciplines.

Despite the complexity, we delivered the project on time and to an exceptionally high standard — a testament to the skill and commitment of our engineers.

Another successful project completed in Malton, featuring the installation of two Samsung VRF systems supporting 22 cassette fan coil units.

Each system has been integrated with a centralised controller, ensuring optimal energy efficiency, simplified management, and consistent performance throughout the building.

A great example of our team delivering high‑quality climate control solutions with precision and reliability.

Modern office interior with exposed ceiling lights, desks, and large windows overlooking trees

A recent project saw our team deliver a full Air Conditioning and Ventilation installation within a modern open‑plan office space. With the building’s limited ceiling height, all mechanical services needed to remain exposed — turning the installation itself into a key visual feature of the workspace.

This created the perfect opportunity for our engineers to demonstrate their technical skill and attention to detail. The result is a clean, efficient, and visually striking system that enhances comfort while complementing the industrial aesthetic of the office
